Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii Expands Their Use of GIS in 2013
Building upon the foundation of previous GIS work for the state of Hawai’i Department of Education, Davis Demographics was selected to develop digital admissions boundary files across the state to expand the use of GIS for planning and analysis in Kamehameha Schools. The mission of Kamehameha Schools is to improve the capability and well-being of Hawaiians through education. Two Large School Districts in Texas select Davis Demographics for Demographic Consulting Services and Software
Dallas ISD has selected the SchoolSite planning extensions for ArcGIS to enhance their GIS analysis capabilities for attendance boundary planning and forecasting. The project includes developing datasets necessary for boundary simulation as well as on-site training of District staff in the use of the software. In the state capitol, the Austin ISD, previous users of SchoolSite GIS software, recently selected DDP to provide additional enrollment forecasting and planning services over the next several years. The advantage of this expanded working relationship includes the ability to deliver the enrollment forecasts, analysis and data to the District staff using SchoolSite for additional in-house mapping and analysis. These two new Districts will be supported through our recently opened regional office in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area.
