Experience with Enrollment Projections

The methodology of resident-based forecasting and long-range planning utilized by DDP has been successfully used by Districts for over 40 years and follows guidelines adopted by the California Department of Education as well as many other states. DDP is regarded in California as an expert in the task of preparing enrollment projections. Our firm is regularly called upon by state agencies and school advocacy organizations to provide expert opinion and guidance. The uniqueness of DDP’s ability to provide student projections by residence is largely due to our groundbreaking and regularly ongoing development of highly specialized Geographic Information System (GIS) software, which is used in all of DDP’s projection calculations.
